OUR STORY

From a Small Incubator to a Family Hatchery

Country Hatchery was founded in 2002 by my dad with one small incubator and a big dream. Actually, it began as a 4-H project while he was a sophomore in high school.

He made his own catalogs and placed a few advertisements in farm papers. Soon, orders were coming in, and his business was going—and growing.

Over the years, Dad says it seems as if he hatched everything. That was when he was younger and more active in the business. Today, I have become General Manager, but Dad still helps from time to time here and there in the hatchery.

INSIDE THE HATCHERY

A Hatch Day at Country Hatchery

EARLY MORNING

Before daylight

We start our hatch day very early. It is still dark outside, but the babies in our hatchers are already chirping to get out of the incubator trays and begin their lives with their new owners.

HATCH DAY

Thousands of babies

We may take several thousand babies from the hatch trays during a busy day. The birds are carefully evaluated and prepared before they are placed into boxes for pickup or shipment.

SHIPPING

From Oklahoma to customers

Some customers pick up their poultry, while many shipments travel across the country. Our customers are anxious to receive their newly arrived babies, so our day begins early and stays busy.

END OF DAY

Doing what we love

When the work is finished, it may be dark outside again. We go home after a full day at Country Hatchery knowing that tomorrow brings another opportunity to serve our customers.

OUR HATCHING EQUIPMENT

Inside Our Poultry Incubation Process

Hatching healthy poultry starts with careful egg handling, dependable incubation equipment and close attention throughout the hatch cycle. Our hatchery uses NatureForm incubation equipment as part of the process of preparing fertile poultry eggs for hatch day.

INCUBATOR MONITORING

Checking Our NatureForm Incubators

Here I am checking one of our NatureForm incubators. Modern poultry incubation equipment helps maintain the controlled environment required for developing hatching eggs, including carefully managed temperature, humidity and regular egg turning.

Our hatchery team monitors the incubation process and equipment as eggs progress toward hatch day. Consistent incubation conditions are an important part of hatching chicken eggs and other poultry eggs.

SETTING HATCHING EGGS

Preparing Eggs for Incubation

Here are Michael and me preparing to set eggs in one of our NatureForm incubators. Before incubation begins, trays of hatching eggs are organized and prepared for the setter so the incubation cycle can begin.

Temperature, humidity, ventilation and egg turning are all important factors in poultry incubation. Using purpose-built hatchery equipment helps us manage these conditions while our team continues to oversee the process from setting eggs through hatch day.

OUR COMMITMENT

Family Owned. Family Operated.

I very much want to serve you as a customer. At Country Hatchery, we work to operate as chemically free as the State of Oklahoma allows while meeting the requirements applicable to a National Poultry Improvement Plan participant and licensed commercial hatchery.

Our goal is straightforward: provide useful poultry information, dependable service, and a personal hatchery experience that reflects the family business behind every order.

WHERE WE SHIP
